The names of the above teaching methods (as I learned them) are:

1. Triggering (in short, using language in a concise way that triggers the brain to send messages to the body)
2.Visualization
3. Doesn&#039;t have a jargonized name, but practice is about finding and stretching  the edge of the athlete&#039;s abilites
4. Again, no name but my old coach used to say, &quot;Walk it, Jog it, Run it&quot;
5. Whole-part-whole

I might argue that long-term goals should be revisited during the training process.  It is almost like whole-part-whole methodology; by seeing the Big Picture, we remind ourselves about purpose.  Also, this doesn&#039;t take into account different learning and personality styles.  Some people can grind away, while others need to step away or see what they are doing from a different angle - perhaps like coming up for air.</description>
