Surely you know the Anthologies were released in the mid 90's, and were combinations of recordings and outtakes? My project Black Gold Tapestry was completed over a year, it's a 220 foot cartoon (which will be embroidered) and is a story about the history of oil - prehistory to today. Every day I spent a good half of the day in research before drawing. I made a commitment to complete 10 feet each week. While I worked I listened to Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap a CBC radio broadcast on the net. Randy is a knowledgeable music fan, raconteur and a talented musician songwriter himself. Not only did I get lots of drawing done I received a healthy dose of musical history seasoned with plenty of Beatles' tunes. I relate to the material in this article.
